I had spoked rims, on my CB, and the only tires currently made, as far as I know, are tubeless tires (I suppose there are companies making retro tires for restoration projects, but I ran 'modern' tires, all tubeless). I ran tubes inside my tubeless tires for five years, without issue. The tubes add a small amount of weight, and heat, allegedly. When I was reading through my motorcycle technician textbook, they had a comment about the tubes generating some heat in tubeless tires, and it was frowned upon... BS in my book: that pitiful amount of additional heat won't do anything adverse, and I did not have a choice about it, anyway! As long as the stem doesn't rub against the rim hole it sticks through, and slice open, you will be fine (I believe the tubeless stems are fatter, at the base, meaning it will have a larger hole for the stem to run through, but check to be sure...). Cheers!
