Valve Clearance

CaseyJ
I have a 76 Cb750 k6 and seem to have the wrong cam or doing something  wrong.
When I go to Adjust the valves the way the book tells  me  I get to num 3 Ex and it is on a lobe.
Book says I can do 1 intake and ex and 2 intake and 3 Ex. I have the cam and crank in time by the book
. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong ???????

Do not worry about the book. Just adjust them one cylinder at a time. Set the mark to 1-4 T and set either the #1, or the #4, which ever is on the compression stroke. Then turn the crank 360* and set the other cylinder. Repeat with #2-#3.
