I was somewhere near Cincinnati OH in first grade when mine hit the showroom floor. Great, now I gotta email the parents to find out where…I don't remember much of when I was little, so I don't really even know what the neighborhood name was.
I wonder if there's a website where the history of the bike can be tracked so you can find out where it was sold for the first time. That would be neat. That information isn't all online yet, very likely.

The Kawasaki dealer was able to tell me who had purchased both of my Kawasaki's. All he needed was the serial number. I have not asked about a Honda yet.
When the Toolmatic was built I was skipping School to go ride my motorcycle.

I was just thinking about this yesterday... I was a Freshman in High School, back in 1979. That was the year I watched Stevie Nicks perform a concert on TV -- man, she had something about her that defied words. Well, at least for a 14 year old kid, anyway. I learned to ride in 1980, but I did not purchase my bike until 2007? Don't know its history prior to the fellow I bought it off of. Cheers!

1979, I was 21, engaged, living with my parents in central Ohio, and working at a computer equipment company for about $8/hour. It got better.
When my Shadow was built, I had been married for 4 years, no kids yet, living in an apartment, and working for about $12/hour. See? It got better.
Neat thread.
