So, out of desperation to get Helen Black to the point where I can go for a ride and not worry about whether the battery will die,,,I find and buy a "parts bike" for its rotor. After getting in some nice rides while the weather was nice I felt a great sense of accomplishment, accompanied with a weird need to keep my fingers greasy...lol. With rain coming and the CB900C sitting under my Gazebo on my back patio and visualizing a rat bobber emerging from that pile of rust...I decided that I had better throw some Seafoam spray into the plug-less cylinders and put in my old plugs...because who knows...with just 13k miles on the odometer...the engine just may be a good winter project! So I squirt cly #2 and then cyl #1 and with the spray I got a splash. Thinking this can't be good I decided to pull the plug and drain the oil. Well I got about a quart and a half of water out before it turned to a milky gray.
Would it do any good to put my saved drain oil from Helen into the crankcase until I can yank it apart...or do you think it's junk? (crank did not turn when removing the rotor...which made removing the rotor easier)
In 1972 I had to make a choice...quit riding...or quit drinking. God says it's safe to get back in the saddle now...at least I'm still alive...and feel more alive with the wind in my face! Now riding "Helen Black"...1982 CB750SC.
