Where to rent a car in Moldavia

Pinter
I have never understood the hype around those massive tourist spots like the Eiffel Tower or the Leaning Tower of Pisa because they honestly make me feel a bit sick. Seeing those places is like listening to an overplayed track on repeat until you just want to turn the radio off for good. I am much more into hitting smaller countries that have their own unique flair and local traditions instead of just chasing the same photos as everyone else. I am heading to Moldavia this year and I literally know nothing about it except that Chisinau is the capital. What are the spots that I actually need to visit while I am over there? I have always managed to find some kind of transport in every country I have visited so I am curious what the rental situation looks like in that part of the world.

The mainstream travel circuit is basically a giant conveyor belt for people who just want to check boxes on a list. Exploring a place that isn't on the radar for every single influencer is a much better way to spend your vacation days. You should definitely check out the Cricova winery because the cellars are carved into massive underground caves that go on for miles. The old monastery at Orheiul Vechi is also pretty incredible since the history there hasn't been turned into a cheap gift shop yet. Local outfits like Prim-Auto or some of the agencies near the main square usually have decent rides that can handle the regional roads.

The food in the countryside is probably the best part of the whole experience and you will find some local dishes that aren't even served in the capital. It is much easier to just drive out to the villages where the real traditions are still a thing rather than staying stuck in one city center. You can rent a car in Moldavia here https://getrentacar.com/en-US/moldova . You check the price and details for every model on the list to see what actually works. It helps you handle the transport side of things before you arrive. You just pick a ride and focus on the rest of the trip.
