Why cant I find a set of replacement sprak plug wires?

FastCletus
When I was taking off my valve cover, I pulled the plugs wires off.  (Yes I labeled them) Why cant I find just a standard set of replacement ones? I dont have a performance coil or anything. I just want to replace them

It is too old.

But you can just order spark plug wires from Dynatek.

ok What if I wanted to upgrade?  I dont like the fact that I have to screw these things on.  I am concerned about good connectivity.  Do they make one that plug or clip together?

My 76 is rocking that same boots and wires that it was born with so I don't think the screw on ends create much issue. As long as the boot seals are good and you put a Lil dab of dielectric grease in there you should be fine. If the seals are had heat shrink tubing id a good substitute.

Does this help? I know it's not apples to apples but I was an old GL guy first

OR just get yourself of Dyna's green 3.0 ohm coils and you can use the hi performace wires you are speaking of.

You'll need to upgrade your coils if you don't want ones that screw on.

Accel or dyna makes ones that work.  Apparently they're a big upgrade and come highly recommended, although not because they clip on, it's because they produce a stronger more reliable spark.

I have some Accel coils I got in a parts bin that I'm going to test as soon as I get my bike back together.

I have never had any trouble with the screw in wires. I really like them.
