Winter fuel mileage

Does anyone else have a serious drop off in mileage in the colder weather? When i first got the bike going it was regularly in the 60s and 70s outside. After getting the carbs jetted right i was getting 45-51 mpg.Usually in the 48-50mpg range. Now that the temps have dropped into the teens and 20s i have been getting only 38-42 mpg.I hear people talking about winter blend fuels, but it doesnt really seem to affect my car any, just the bike.Any ideas?

I just wished I got 38-42 MPG. 50+ is unheard of Say weren't, you running lean when, you first got it going?

Hmm...fatter...that is a good possibility

Tools it was lean, real lean, but i never started checking mileage until the plugs started looking right.I only ran about 1 tank of fuel through the bike while getting the carbs tuned in.

If I run the bike hard just a few times than the mileage drops FAST on that tank. But,for just getting out and cruising at 45-55 mph upper 40s+ is pretty normal.Unless my speedo is off or something
