Wrong rear tire - oops!

lusciouslemur
Hello all,

In haste, I ordered a set of Coker firestone tires for my 1980 CB750C. The specs from what i've found on the stock comstar wheels are 110/90 19" for the front and 130/90 16" for the rear. It seems this model for the rear only comes in a 5.00x16, and that seems much too fat for clearing the chain etc.

I was looking at Metzeler Lasertec because there's a set that actually will fit my wheels. Are there other tires you recommend?

Also, hope I can return these tires

Conversion charts show it is the right size. But a 130 tire should clear the chain, no problem. My 78K uses a 130/90 17 tire on the rear. It has plenty of clearance. Make sure the spacers are in the correct spots, but it should clear no problem.

The lasertek biased should be fine. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/6123/i/metzeler-lasertec-bias-sport-touring-rear-tire
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
