a good way to clean carb body?

johnrox
Does anybody know of a good way to clean the out side of the carb body.  Carbs are greenish in color.  Im almost ready to take them to work and bead blast them.  is this a good idea.   Thanks in advance.

Don't bead blast them unless your want to buy new ones. This will definitely ruin them. I'm not sure about cleaning the outside. This discoloration is new to me. Try a little aluminum cleaner or even a polishing agent to remove it.

some motorcycle shops have an ultrasonic tank to clean carbs. I hear they do an awesome job. Be careful the top covers on the carbs are clear coated and may be damaged by harsh cleaners.
