air filter damaged

borissytch
Hi,
I am wondering if I could try and test my bike with its old air filter which is damaged (I have no idea why and who did that)

I am still figuring out if it's worth keeping this bike or not. I haven't tried the engine properly yet.
The question is - if I try it around the garage with this filter, would it be damaging the engine by anyway?
I am thinking to replace it with a new one in spring if I can finally make the bike roadworthy

Thanks for your advice!

Alex

Blow / hit clean any N all that will fall out,
use my bandanna over open area (waad it together not fold should breath better,
   Getter back in
O.K. it works to get me home N beer in frigg (not ride over to buddys

Looks like the work of mice!

Filters are not pricey so just get a new one.

Any shop that services Honds M/C's, should have a new paper filter on hand, for less than $15.  Cheers!

I will buy the new one of course, when I am sure I can ride this bike, 'cause it costs here almost $ 40 for the element
I mean to keep the old one in while trying and working on the bike

Shit, it costs $40 for one by you? Whereabouts do you live?
Turbos, Hondas, 4-bangers, what could go wrong?

This site is in Canada; I can't imagine parts would be too expensive from them.
