brake light switch

MikeinMemphis
Just noticed today that altho the foot brake activates my brake light, the front hand brake lever does not. I have a Clymer's manual but still cannot even find the front switch. Is it up near the master cyclinder or farther down? It's a 1973 K3. Thanks

It's a pressure switch between the front forks below the headlight. Follow your front brakeline down there where it goes into a manifold and there it is. Mine was bad and can't get the oem switch so I got an aftermarket one from Honda dealer and back in business. It's cheap and uses existing wires.

On the '81 it is under the master cylinder. I am not sure about the '73.

Thanks a lot guys. I found it down between the forks; once I knew what I was looking for. One of the two wires had broken off.
