clean up the dash (tach, speedo, headlight, indicator)- 1976 cb750

Willpost84
I want to clean up the dash (tach, speedo, headlight, indicator), and get rid of that heavy headlight bracket on my 1976 cb750f supersport. Anyone know of any aftermarket kits out there? Or have any suggestions on how I should proceed?

I just bought a new headlight and thinking of replacing the indicator box and speedometer alltogether. However, I want a cleaner setup.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.  I believe this has been covered before: there were a few pics of an aftermarket speedometer which incorporated the indicator lights for neutral/turn/oil_pressure/brights.  Try a search on the homepage for "speedometer" and maybe adding after market with it to narrow down the results.

I hope this helps.

From a posting from MarkPBG:

dimecitycycles speedo

See if that's what you want to use.

I have been looking at these. They look pretty slick and fairly small but not overly hard to read. Expensive, sort of but no worse than any other gauge company, probably better for what you get.

It uses its own speed sensor so you do not need to worry about gearing.

Way too expensive.
The speedo from Dime City Cycles or Cycle X for $67.00 is perfect. brightly lit,
has all of the warning lights and is easy to install.
Also offered in different ratios.

Comes in black face or white face.
On a Roadstar Adventure.

Maybe but it is small and not really easy to read. it is only 2.5 inches in diameter and that includes the case. The indicator lights are small too. Besides, cost is subjective on what a person likes and how well it works.
The koso one is electronic, therefor you do not need to worry about guessing at the ratio to hope you get your speed right. The koso uses a modern speed sensor that takes its reading from physical movement of the whichever wheel you mount it on. It has an easy to read speedo and tach.

You might call it expensive but so are the dakota digital speedos and I feel this is a better unit.
But it is just OUR opinions. I was just showing another option. I know some people have used the koso and really like it. So, if anything, it is not junk.
