The controls are not a problem. If your wires are run through the bars; just drill the new ones, and run the wires through. If you do not want to run them through; you can grind a notch for the wires in the housings for the wires to pass through.
Hand grips are cheap. Just get new ones. It's too much work to try and save them.

yea my controls arent ran in the bars. i already took the bars off, but my next question is are all bars  a standard size so i dont have to worry about the controls and twist throttle fitting the new bars... cuz all clubman bars are 7/8" diameter i believe.. so im hoping it just goes back together yea know.

Typically, stock bars measure 7/8".  Your left side grip should measure 7/8" inner diameter, and the right side grip should measure 1".  This is because the throttle mechanism needs to slip to do its job, and the plastic portion is slightly bigger than the handlebars.

Measure away on both ends of the old bars and your new ones, and let us know what you find.

You might have to shorten your brake line and clutch cable. Depends on the spread of the bars compared to original. Brake line is about $25 and I think the clutch is about the same.

I put some clubmans that i got from carpy on my bike a year ago.  And since the bars are lower , compared to stock configuration they made up for the difference in configuration. So  I was able to re-use the throttle and clutch cable without any issues.  Just make sure to adjust your cables once your thru, or else the throttle will be a little sticky and the clutch will feel tight.

I have a follow up question.   I just bought a 73 CB750 and want to swap the bars.  The wires run through the bars and I am having a hell of a time getting them out.  Is there a technique to pull the wires through?  I don't want to damage the wiring...  Thanks!
