I took a nasty little spill the other day on my 82 750F, most of the damage is minor; have to replace the points cover (its slightly leaking oil, and got scratched all to hell), need to repaint the front fender (sad because i had custom checkers painted in), clutch lever needs replacing (ball at the end broke off), and there's a decent little dent in the top left of the gas tank (handlebar hit when i went down). All really sad because my new fiberglass seat had just popped out of the mold that day.
Any-who, do any of you have any tips for popping the dent back out? I have a buddy who's a welder who just so happens to be buying a revit tack welder part and puller (idk the real terms for those), so i might try that approach. But that method will require repainting and such, which sucks. I could just bondo over it and fill it in, but id rather not, plus the painting thing again. I've heard if there are no creases (which there really isnt), it is usually possible to "pop" it back out. I don't know, just looking for some advice. Thanks.
