electronic problem

skyline1958
Im driving a fully original honda 750 cbc with only 38000 kilometers from 1981. I own this motorcylcle from day one.

I have a strange problem. The engine does not start electrical when i park the honda after says 20 minutes of driving. the battery is completely empty. In to steps it runs again but this is not how it should operate.

Does anybody has an idea what the problem can be? I have the engine just serviced completely and replaced the battery.

Hope you can help me

Did the issue just start when you installed the new battery? Just because it is a new battery does not mean it is a good battery.

To check if the battery is good charge it and see if it holds a charge over night. If it does then you're problem is somewhere else. Have you tested the charging system to see if it is working?

Welcome Skyline.
When your bike fails to start, do you have lights? When you say "into steps it runs again", does this mean you can kick start it?
When the battery was replaced was it dry? Some batteries need electrolite put in when new, then a long slow first charge. If it is not done properly the battery will not work.
Do you have access to a volt meter? If so charge the battery to over 12V an see if it retains that over night as Tools said, then start the engine and increase RPM to over 3,000 RPM. With the meter on the battery connections and the engine speed increased, does it show near 14V?
