i am looking at purchasing a oldschool chopper and need to know if a 79 anniveersary dohc 750 engine mounts in the same locations as a 69 sand cast

No they do not. The 79 was the switch to the dohc. You could probably weld in mounts but it is not a drop in.
69-78 were the sohc years.
