float height..

toytuff
Greetings,

Where do you set the float height? My 1977 CB 750K states 14-15 mm but is not clear where from.

I assume it is from the float bowl base to the bottom of the float. Going from the base to the top of the float seems excessive to me.

Still trying to get her running. I get fuel to the carb rail but not to the float bowls. Maybe I'm setting it from the wrong place.

Thanks.

Well, after having a late lunch I thought about this..again.

The float height should be set at the top of the float and not the bottom. By setting the float to the bottom it would make sense that no fuel would flow because the needle valve never really opens which would allow fuel to flow.

Looks like another carb removal! :)
