front turn signals 1979 cb 750k ltd problem

norts1138
I have a 1979 Cb 750k 10th anniversary limited edition. I took off the vetter fairing and have been getting parts to make it stock again.I bought a set of front turn signals with 3 wires,a red wire, black wire and a black w/ white stripe wire.My problem is I don't know what wires to match up.I'm aware that light blue w/white stripe is for front left and the orange w/ white stripe is for the right.Do I plug the black w/ white stripe from the turn signals into the orange and blue wires with stripes together? If so then what do I do with the other two wires from the blinkers(red and black)? The only other female connections are two green wires with female ends a brown wire with afemale end and black wire with afemale end. Did I make a mistake when I bought these blinkers and should have got the 2 wire blinkers?Any help would be great, this has been racking my brain all week.My clymer manual has the wire diagrams in black and white and to be honest when it comes to wiring I'm not the best. HELP ME OBI WAN KENOBI YOUR MY ONLY HOPE.

Wiring diagrams can really suck. I check the fsm on here and I could not read it.
Unacceptable really so I will see what I can do to find a better fsm or at least a better wiring diagram.

Found this, in color but still really crappy. However it may allow you to trace the wires out better.

Right click to view image and do ctrl and + kesy to zoom or you can right click and save it.

I will look around more later. Have to go mow while it is still 85 out instead of 95.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

                                                  BLK. IS NOT A GROUND
I'm going the other way (putting on fairing)But have aftermarket lights now(I put on).
!st check yo bulb (in housing,Lens off)with derect to batt. The smaller eliment is running light, larger is the winker, keep track. Most likely yo housing is plastic why you have 3rd wire(grnd.).
O.K. the solid color wires are the winker,Stripe running lights,Grn are grounds,Blk. are used for starting purposses,(can be # of things)Mine "77"F2 ,one to clutch switch & one to neutral switch,
NOW,My Brn. wire is not connected(accually just hanging there)It is live when using brake's,
Thinkig of having a idiot brake light (using it).

Will be on sight off N on all day(info) doing my build.

If your turn signal has three wires coming out if it chances are it is a turn signal/marker light combo. Most turn signals only have two wires coming out of them. One for the input for the signal, and the other for ground.

Sounds like you have
1-marker light
2-turn signal
3-ground

Your best bet would be to just touch the different ends on a battery and see what lights up. The turn signal will glow much brighter than your marker light bulb will. At least, that's what i would do. Good luck!

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!! After a few seconds of looking around I found that the light blue and orange wiresfrom the bike have two female connections(one. from each color is already being used for the rear blinkers),I plugged the red wires from the blinker into them and the black wire from the blinkers into the green wirefrom the bike (there are two both have double female connecttions) and its blinking.
Now this leaves us with the 3rd wire from the blinker that is black w/white stripe, it plugs into the orange wire w/stripe or light blue w/stripe (one for the left and one for the right blinker) and now everything functions properly.

Thank you very much for all the helpfull info,  this website rules.Have a happy and safe 4 th of July.
