i am very new here as well as i work alot so my timing on coming and going may seem erratic,
after two year iwas able to finally get my 81, honda cb750 legal and now i am going to do as much self mantance as possible, after playing with it i was able to get it to stay idleing, i now need a battery any suggestion for a good one? the last one i bought i messed it by over charging it, how ever it was just a cheapie while i worked on it.
i have it lined up with a shop to get the carbs sinked, i hope that is all that i need to get it to stay running. my evental goal is to custumise it to my own specs because i plan on haveing this bike for a pretty long time, and with the help from the exprianced and pepople with more wisdom here i hope to do a lot of it my self,
so thank you all in advance,
i apologies for jacking the other mans thread i am now taking the time to start my own,
my plan this weekend is to ride it around on my street to test the brakes, they may nobe sticking now, but at this point all i have done is bleed them, i have several other quetions but i am looking to get the brakes correct and a good battery 1st,,,,
thank you all again
oh, wait one last thing, when i bought it, it already had the after market pod breathers on it. i thinking bout going back to the orginal air bok because there is a line ( i think vacum) that after it gets hot it is releasing white smoke which i think is the oil buring....is there a way to block this or should buy the orig/ airbox? also is there an upgrade (size) kit for this motor? the second is down the line but i want to look at my options
thank you
