City. If I am reading it right. It does not have a serial number. I think that green tag on the right side of the case is a DMV issued number tag.
There might be some ink stamped numbers around the the oil filter housing. Some had a date stamped there.

how could it not have a serial number?
isn't it stamped into the case?
maybe it was grinned off. then that's a shady engine. but why would someone do that, they register them by the serial on the frame.

Honda replacement cases did not have numbers on them. Also there were some company's making replacement Hi performance cases, for them. These would not have had numbers either. I have a set of cases under the bench that do not even have the pad that the number was stamped in, and it was cast that way.

 Damm..nothing! The plate where the numbers go has never been tampered with. SOOOOO, that means I can take off the DMV assigned number, get a frame with a pink, build it, and pretend that the stock motor like nothing happened  I'm also gonna have to take the head off and see what I got, stock or hot rod? Tools, what do you recommend to look for next?

It looks like it has the oil cooler off an F model.
You will not need any engine numbers. The title goes to the frame. I would get a frame from Cycle one, and build a Kick ass chopper.  TOOLS

Thanks guys for your help The big question then, is this motor consider to be a K or F or just plain 69-78 CB750 I plan on rebuilding it to play it safe but not being able to find a number of any sort tripped me out. I have to wait for after the holidays to get me a 836cc kit and short gears. After the motor I'll start looking for a solid frame to work with.  This is what I'm aming for the weekend drag strip, can't wait to finish my automatic but I finally have the time to work on the wiring this week

K, or F will not make any difference. The F did have higher compression, a bigger cam, and valves, but the rest was the same.
