hello
I am new to this forum and I have a question that I hope someone could help me with .
I just picked up a 79 cb750f and I needed to clean the carbs and while I was doing this I noticed that the idel set screw ( bottom of carbs with plastic head on it ) was stuck it could not be turned I soaked it with pb blaster and that did not work so I tried alittle heat and that did nothing now for the bad news the screw broke off .
so my question is if this has happened to anybody out there how did you fix it , it is really small so I don't know about drilling it out and taping it any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

Sounds like was seized pretty good maybe you can try on of those bolt extractors that goes in your drill? Keep soaking it in PB Blaster while you work on the carbs and come back to it later.

If you don't get it out, maybe you'll get lucky and find that the idle was set about right when it broke.

If the idle knob is more or less like that on my 78, different carbs, I would drill out the screw and retap the hole for a new knob. Might just be easier to do that.
