idle issue

i have an 81 cb750...

heres the problem im having
the bike will idle fine but after i go for a ride and come to a stop
the idle stays high (about 3k rpm)

i just had the carbs cleaned and synced

it has a mac 4 to 1 exhaust, dynojet jet kit, and pod filters on it

it also has brand new coils and wires

i also adjusted the ignition timing as per a clymers manual.

any help would be greatly apprieciated

Well I have a 78K so different carbs but what happens to me is I dont have my high idle cam adjusted properly. So I use the idle adjust knob to raise the idle up while on idle, dont have to keep hand on throttle. Down side is when the bike warms up, I have to turn the knob down or I get the high idle.

What should happen(most likely) is that there is a cam that gets activated on your bike when you pull the choke, same with mine. I would guess that cam is not set right.
