model type??

Hi, my dohc 750 has a chequered past, I am not entirely sure what model I have, it is registered in the UK as a 1982 cb750, but is it a C or an F, or something else? my mate says it has the body work of an F"? the frame numbers seem to say its a 1979, the engine number has disappeared at sometime in its life. It is only for my own information, as I am hard tailing her as I mentioned in another post. Can you fellows help? Thanks. Darren
