1980 CB750K Air Filter Spring

Partzilla says that the "SPRING, ELEMENT SETTING 17223-425-000" listed as under the airfilter on the honda part diagrams is obsolete. Does this mean that it is no longer needed for any new airfilter bought as a replacement part listed as compatible for this bike?
