Pretty!  Love the matte finish.  I saw another bike all done in powder coated red.  Frame, fenders, tank, everything, except for the chrome bits.  I like the side covers too:  homemade?

Did yours come with the mini-windshield?  I'm thinking of grafting one of those onto my bike, but haven't seen a lot of them on EBay or other places.  Going 60 or so (!) kind of beats on the chest of us long-torso'd guys.

Love it! Flat black is the bomb! Did you do it yourself? If so, what did you use. Also love the black pipes. Last two bikes I owned had black pipes.

did paint it myself.used dupli-color low gloss black engine enamel cermic   {DE1634} from advance auto . did it all with rattle cans. did a real good job at preping it. and a couple of good coats of primer. pipes were rusty so i sanded them and used hi temp. header paint. the low gloss looks flat but a lot nicer look than just plan flat. take your time and no one will know it wasnt done professional. good luck on your project looks like you got a good base to start with  I took all my cases off and sanded them from grit 220 emery down to 600 grit then polish & polish & polish & POLISH!! but it was worth it they came up like chrome

Thanks. I did the same with my old sportster. Never thought about using the hight temp stuff on the tins. I am on the fence with painting the frame or having it powder coated. Trying to do it on a very small budget! I'll attach a pic of my old sporty. It's kinda the direction I want to go with this one.

Oddly enough, I ran into the guy who bought it from me like that. He lives in VA. I live in WV near Charles Town. I work in Leesburg, VA.
