new engine?

I have a 1980 cb750 custom, I love it but wouldblike a bigger engine. Is there a bigger engine that would fit the frame? Like a cb1100? And if so, where can I aquire one? Thanks guys!

I agree with TOOLS, but understand if you want to make something cool .

A 900 F engine apparently fits with some frame mods.  If you're really interested in doing some serious performance mods you should check out the cb1100f.net site.

That would be a good source for a 900F engine as well.

I would be willing to bet for the money involved you could pick up a used 900F ... Or a now almost 20 year old "Big One" would be even better, at least to me. (and Motorcyclist magazine) http://www.motorcyclistonline.com smart money '94-'95 cb1000

I have a 900 in a CB750 frame, no modification necessary. Now, that may be because of a particular year the 900 is, I'm not sure.

There are 900's out there that are identical to 750's. I have them in my garage.

Don't forget not all CB900's are the same. The 900C was a 10 speed trans (HI and LO ranges) and was a shft drive... so a 900C engine would fit as easily as a 900F donor's mill.
Just sayin...
