I just got a 74 cb 750 to chopp the motor seems to be in pretty good shape but i cant find where to check the oil. This bike is a little before my time i was told that there was a glass bubble but cant find it. it also has a lot of after markett chrome please help

Nope no bubble. Under the right side(as your sitting on the bike) remove the sidecover and you will find the tank. the cover, if stock, just pops off but be careful. The rubber grommets harden and are not overly friendly. Remove the cap for the tank viola! you have your dip stick.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

Interesting, the dipstick is on the left side of my 1981 CB750.  I guess that was one of the changes between the SOHC and the DOHC.
1981 CB750K with 900 cams

It's on the left side of the engine on all my CB 750's. However Mine are matics.
