omitting battery and such

I see a lot of pics of bikes where they seem to have omitted a LOT of the crap between the frame

such as that..

how do you do this????

i don't see a battery or any of the other crap my bike has on it.  i assume it's a running bike..

The battery is there. Look at the bottom of the frame in front of the rear tire. That square object is your battery. The rider makes a little box and that holds and shields the battery. The big thing missing there is massive oil tank. Most people will custom make a little tank and hide it under the seat.

Some other combos that people do are to get a lightened rotor and stator unit, I could go on.
As for getting rid of the battery, you cant for practical use. The 70s and I think 80s cb do not charge constantly, only above 2000rpm. So in traffic, without a battery, you must keep the rpm above 2000. Not good while idling. Some have fitted ARD magneto systems but they can be buggy and unreliable.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

ooohhhh yeah i see it now.. they did a good job of hiding it!..

Honestly, i wouldn't remove the battery on my bike, though i do like the clean appearance on some of these bikes...

Just for the record, will the cb750s spark with a dead battery? (via kick start of course).

Both of my suzuki's require electricity to be able to spark... so... if your battery is dead, there's no kick starting it, push starting it etc... you have to have a jump.

I'd like to know in case the battery on my cb happens to go dead...

Honestly, i just got this bike a few weeks ago as a new project, and i really don't know much about the intricacies and nuances.  this will be my first cb750 cafe racer build...  until now i've worked on suzuki's..

You can kick it with a dead battery. That's why I like it. There is nothing more cool than an old kick start bike. You are only limited by your creativity. I am still going to keep my battery on my hard tail bobber build.
