re connecting carb, what goes here, photos included

zunk1

i have an 82' cb 750, i took the carbs off to clean, i'm a first timer, and tried to take a lot of photos so i wouldn't mess up installing it back on, but i have no idea how the hoses connect to this filter at the top of the carbs. in the other photo is this tube that is just hangin out. any help would be great thanks. ps i gave it a quick run when i got them back on just so see and felt the exhaust an nearly no air was moving through the right side of my 2-2 exhaust and seemed to heat up super fast. so yeah. i don't know what i'm doing. thanks

My 81 custom does not have the vacuum operated piece in the left photo , but I think the main fuel line from tank goes to the large  nipple on top , then a fuel line from the lower nipple goes to the fitting in the small inset photo . A vacuum line goes to the small remaining port . - I could be wrong , and the manual I have does not illustrate this . Another good forum on cb750s is DOHC CUSTOMS , just for your information .

judging by the looks of the fittings ,i would put the fuel supply line on the barb fitting and the smaller straight fitting in the same photo would likely be a vaccum line from behind  one of the carbs .in the next photo the brass fitting may well be the vent line from the float bowls and that line may or may not connect to the air filter box  as part of emission standards .hope this helps
