I hear aluminum sprockets don't last as long as steel ones. No personal experience here with AL sprockets, but I have 10,000 miles on a set of steel sprockets that were already on the bike when I got it. They look perfect.
Anyone have personal experience with life expectancy on AL sprockets?
Oh, when you get a 530 chain ( highly recommended IMO) make sure you get on with a tensile rating of at least 9,000-9,500 lbs. I didnt and regretted it
A low tensile chain will stretch badly. These bikes make good power and are kinda on the heavy side. They will work a weak chain to death, fast!
