runs bad when warm

Hi Guys,I have a 1982 gs1100e it runs pretty good at start up.As the bike warms up it starts missing,you have to blip the gas to keep it running.The carbs are jetted to the pipe and filters.This started at the end of last year.I dont notice any difference this year.Any thoughts?Thanks Shiny mike

Probably running a bit rich. Double check the choke is opening up. Otherwise, let it get warm and idle till it dies. Pull the plugs and see if they are really dark or really light. That will let you know what the fuel is doing. Dark is way too rich.
it may be that fuel got left in the carbs and has gummed things up some. Dump in some seafoam and run a tank of that through. See if that helps.

Hi Re-run thamks for the help.When the carbs were rebuilt 3 years ago the Suzuki guy drilled out some jet or another that made start up very easy and the bike ran well in general.I'm NOT a machinic but I'm old so I do know a little about the carbs,I oped up one or the carbs at the end of last year when this first started and everything looked fine.I then sent them to a different carb who did not see anything wrong with them either.I had someone tell thet thought it might be the coils so I changed them,still did not help.
Today I asked one of techs at work who rides a 900f.He asked if I have check compression,i have not so maybe thats next.Any other thought would be great.Thanks Shiny Mike

Does this bike have points, or electronic ignition? I am guessing it is an ignition problem.

That SUCKS!

Can it be tested at a dealer, or is it one of those replace it, and give it a try type?

I've had several tanks of gas in it.A GUY (you know how ususally turns out) told me its pick up coils?.I'm gonna check into that over the week end.Any thoughts?Mike
