swing arm shock mount mod

i have seen pics of cb750s with a lower shock mount mod..it moves the lower mount aprox 3 inches back,,,,
its not a welded mod it is a metal bracket that bolts on to the original shock mount and it has a new hole aprox 3 inches aft to mount the shock..any info would be cool     thanks  dave

They are just lowering blocks. They used to be really common. Now they are like hen's teeth, and frog hair. Very hard to find. I just watched a set on ebay go, for $50.00. They used to be $15.00 from JC Whitney. Shorter shocks are a much better option. tasclassicmotorsports.com has 11 inch shocks, for around $90.00. You could also have a welding shop weld a new bung further back on your swing arm. I have used all three options, and prefer the new bung.
