Thanks for all the info...now I'm thinking a turbo is in my 750's future.
Why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to god one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.

You got me wanting to do one now.I'm thinking a forged piston 836 kit + that turbo i found with the waste gate built in. It could all be done for around $1000.Thats alot of upgrade for not that much cash.Maybe next winter....

I want to say I saw a cb that had a turbo, what they did was take the 4 throttle bodies off a kawa or suzuki, mounted the fuel pump in one of those chrome oil tanks that sit under the seat that are used in a lot of CB choppers then just piped the turbo into what looked like a headder for the throttle bodies.
Let me see if I can find it, because then there is no need to modify carbs for blow through and if you dont do a lot of boost i think the stock fuel pump can handle it.
I could just be talking out my ass though, I've read so many things the past few months it may just be mixing up in my head.

From what i have been told,Wiseco is one of the biggest piston manufacturers for bikes.I am new to bikes but we have tortured Wiseco's in both blower and nitrous motors with great results. If you are gonna re-pston might as well go with the 836 kit The only additional cost with be getting the jugs bored.Im not sure what that would cost. You'd have to ask your local machine shop.I know that on our race engines(auto)my guy does boring for $18 a hole.

You might not believe this, but the matic top end is perfect, for a turo/blower. It has lower compression, and the cam is perfect, for it as well. Also it is bullet proof.

From the sound of it you will need someone to make your header and possibly the intake between that, pistons, turbo, ect. I think you will be pressed to keep it around the 1k mark.
I did a quick search for forged pistons and they mostly come in big bore kits (not sure if yours is stock or big bore if stock you have to get it bored) they varied upper $400 range. I didn't see any that were lower compression that you would need so some machining on them may be in order.
If I were in your situation I would wait until your budget was a bit more and could do this project justice.

If you are using a 4 into 1 header they are already grouped together.Just pop a flange on the end of it to accept the turbo. No need for a muffler since the turbo will "cut up" the sound waves so much it will most likely be incredibly quiet(sleeper ).Listen to some of the high horsepower cars that are turbo'd on you tube, they aint using mufflers. Then just run a piece of 1 1/2" exhaust pipe up to the carbs.Probably use one silicone 90 boot to connect your pipe from the turbo to the log manifold and one to connect(straight,i would presume)to the turbo it self.If you can weld yourself it would be extremely cheap to do.Most exhaust shops will sell you a stick of pipe(8' lenghts) that size for about $10.Get him to put a few bends on it for you (tip him,of course)and you'll be good to go.Using a log type manifold would probably work fine since you are dealing with pressurized air ,you shouldnt really have mixture distribution issues. If you can at least cut pipe and hole-saw a few holes, then go back to the muffler shop and get those guys to weld that up too.Having a long run back to the carbs like that may cause it to spool up a little slower, but will effectively act as an intercooler.Google "butt-mounted turbos for an f-body camaro".Same basic idea. You will most definitely need an electric fuel pump and boost referenced fuel pressure regulator.I cant price these parts since i havent looked for them and the ones we have used on our race cars were all rated at 1,000 hp+.Obviously overkill for a build like this and i doubt the bikes electrical system would support a pump that pulls almost 25 amps.
You could even save a few buck and just use radiatir hoses to connect to the manifold and the carbs themselves. You won't need silicone up there. It won't be hot enough to warrant silicone boots, really.
These bikes are right at 9:1 compression,so unless you are talking serious boost, stock compression should be good for 8-10 lbs of boost on good gas. On auto engines you have to increase the ring end gap for forced induction,im not sure on these motors.Cant help you there.
If you want, and your bike has the same round top carbs as mine, i can build you a manifold if you like.Probably take a few hours.I got all winter to get mine going.

I would love to build one. I have been eying all those old exhaust pipes. They are the right diameter. i was thinking a single S&S carb right in the middle.
