vintage or modern?

Some time ago, I posted a picture of my brothers 51 Ford.  I think this was the one.

He has been working hard and changed the fuel system to this.


It runs like a scalded cat, but I guess I'm more of a purest.  I liked the 3 Stromberg 97's  way more and felt it was a true vintage hot rod.  We spend a lot of time argueing about it, and I tried to insult him by telling him next thing he'll want is a horsepower robbing AC unit!  bahahahahah...   Anyway, it's just pretty so I thought I would share it.

I always prefer vintage over modern...unless added horsepower is a factor,in which case, I'll flake and go modern. But it's hard to beat the simplicity of a good ol' carburetor.

That mag looks sweet on there,though.And A/C is nice!


I guess I'm straddling the fence.
