wheelbase 40mm longer on K8's

Hi,

I know that K7's, 8's & 9's are 40mm longer (1.5 inches) than the earlier models. Can anyone here tell me exactly where? Is it in the swing arm, frame or folk rake.......

Cheers

I don't know if this helps, but I have a '79 cb750k (not sure if it's an 8 or 9).
But I bought a chain that was advertised as for a cb750.
Turns out it was only an 84 link.
Mine takes a 90 link.
That would indicate it's in the swing arm.

What else is different on the '78 from a '69-'76?

I have since learned that around half the length is in the swingarm and the rest is in the trail length which is the rake of the front forks. But it's hard to find the exact info, even in the the road tests for these bikes.

Cheers
