windjammer

I just bought a 1979  CB 750k  with a windjammer faring ....that I think I'm gonna want to remove ....

has anyone done that?

I have removed a few of them (I feel that part of riding a motorcycle is the wind on you). If you are lucky the stock headlight ears are still there. You will just need to find a headlight bucket, and maybe turn signals for your bike. Or you could even go custom.

Remove the faring from the bracket first, then the bracket from the frame.

If you are missing parts and want to go back to stock, you can probably just ask in the For Sale section if someone has the parts you need for sale.  You should be able to get what you need fairly cheap.

There are aftermarket ears you can use that cost as little as $12

Check the "For Sale" section:  there is a 7" headlight for sale, which has an H4 bulb.  Mate it with the mounts suggested in the previous post, and you have all that you need.  Cheers!
