I do not know all of the ins and outs of the swing arms other than that the 77-78's had the longest swing arm until the 1980-81 models which had needle roller bearings.

I have a 198081 swing arm in very good condition if you are interested.
Includes the brake reaction arm and needle bearing in clean condition.

    I hadn't removed the tire ,yet but will,His is A 76 I believe,he''ll be on after 12am.
     Getting things ready for company and all the kids toys are Pyle in the corner near my bike area,just found out wont be here till sat so will have the mesurements in morn
   O.K.
  #1 ....inside swingarm were axcel goes thru.?

  #2....swing arm with at pivot area(were bolt goes thru.?
                  Any-thing else you think of put on by early morn ,will check putter then.

  Chrome Ribs rear caliper was different then mine,other then being left and right side there(mine) all the same,I was once going to get his but  took a closer look,Ended up useing 1 off a 80 wing,witch is now my parts bike.

  1 and 2 yes.
also could you take a close up pic from behind the bike where the rear brake caliper mount in on the axle. I want to see if there a spacer there.

Mine is a '76. And I just remembered it will need a set of bushings. They are cracked.

What measurements do you need and I'll be glad to get them for you.Sorry for the hold up.

I ended up getting a 78 on ebay just to be on the safe side...btw, I noticed in your build that you have new wiring harness...where did you get it from?

    Left side were hooked tape........................inside mes.10 3/8 ".....outside there ya go ...

  Had to reach inside ans hold tape  N look from this way?9 1/4 I'd say for width of swig pivot area the frame has build in spacers but seen none added

Good to know.Lucky. Was it a direct fit or did it need modifying? I'm looking to pick up a '78 soon.It'll need a new wires
