1975 cb750k5? exhaust

cwl111286
I became the owner of a 1975 honda cb750, it was my dads and i virtually grew up on this thing. He died november of 2010 and me being the only boy inherited the cb750. It runs and drives great still even though its older than me by a little more than a decade.

Anyway, the four into one exhaust has had it, big rust hole right where the four headers join into one pipe. The only thing i need is that pipe or i have considered just buying some exhaust pipe and putting 4 seperate pipes on it. My question is, does anyone know where i can find the 4 into 1 for relatively cheep or if i go the other route can i just put straight pipes on it and be done with it. will putting straight pipes on it chage the way it runs or cause any damage to the engine.
Im strapped for cash but i want to do this as right as i can afford to. Any help would be much appreciated.

I thourghly enjoy riding this Motorcycle, lots of memories tied to it (25 years worth). I love how well it runs starts up a lot easier than my uncles $18000 harley and rides, in my opinion, much better.

Welcome to the forum.  Sorry to hear about your dad.

To answer your question about the straight pipes, they won't damage your engine but you probably have to re-jet to accommodate for how free flowing they are and your neighbours won't like you because it'll be crazy loud.
