1980 CB750k Carb Questions

boostaholic
I've pulled my carbs out to put some smaller jets in, while they're out I would like to clean my pressed in Idle jets. I'm not sure if I've called them the correct name, they're the jets under the black plug. Would I be able to just run some wire through them or is there another way of going about it?

Well the press in jets are usually able to be pulled out. I can't picture the carbs you have right now, but if the plug is out, can you grip the jet with a pliers? Usually you can just twist and pull. If not, wire will only clean a bit. I would put on some glasses and hit them with carb cleaner, wait a couple minutes and then use an air hose with a "gun" attachment with a rubber tip. Press the tip tight and blow away.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
