Hey everyone I'm new to the Forum. I have been sorting through a lot of your threads, mostly on project builds, and got a lot of good ideas, styles, and concepts that I wouldn't mind doing to my super sport. The build we be as fast as I can make it happen with the funds that I am able to use towards it. This time next year it hopefully be completely done, but who knows I ride it every day I can, and fix odds and ends on it when I can.

The bike had sat since 1997 and I just got it about a 2 months ago now. I had to clean the tank, rebuild the brakes all the way around (except  for the rear master cylinder), new filters and oil..... Luckily the PO had just cleaned the carbs and left the fuel turned off they were spotless.... Cleaned them anyway!!! I had to replace a coil, clutch lever, throttle cable, and knock on wood that's all the had to's for now... It runs alright has glitch in it (thinking I need to clean the carbs better  man they're a pain to remove. I have a huge wish list of parts I would like to get, mainly thanks to Shinyribs' 80' 750F, that's an awesome bike with a lot awesome ideas mainly the wider front and rear tires.... And I mainly want to go that same concept of Street Fighter style.

Oh and by the way I am the Business Manager at a Level 5 Honda Powerhouse if there is question on parts availability I may be able to help you out... We are a fairly new store so I won't have an overstocked item that has been sitting for year or anything but if it can be ordered I should be able to check for you.

I would probably start with a trimming of sorts. I like dual exhausts but maybe a 4-1 is in order.
I would replace the rear shocks and put in some progressive springs in the front. Looks like you removed the big signals already. At least you kept the round headlight, I prefer that look myself.

From there, drop in a set of cb900 cams. Gets a bit more out of the engine without major work.

Hey, maybe a different paint job and you might find it is good enough. Maybe repaint the engine if you end up tearing it apart, I wouldn't powder coat though, doesn't allow for good cooling, stick with high temp paint.

Well after reading about how bad Shiny's 4-1 drags I am kind of thinking of sticking with 4-2, but I do want to get something other than factory. I really do want to put the 900 cams in it, and this winter it's going to get disassembled (Spell Check ) Hopefully frame, and engine repainted, and  other odds and ends. I appreciate the tip on not powder coating the engine cause that was a thought... As far as paint I was tossing the idea around of possibly wrapping it??? But wasn't sure. I like the black and old school graphics on it now too.. so...
