2000 r1 rebuild

ksharp
ight boys time to show u guys what ive been working on all along lol, so i bought this bike becasue i wanted to get into motorcycle racing as i knew i would have loved it, BUT they closed down the track where i live so there will be none of that untill i get my handy hands on a truck and blaaaa blaaa, but alas i bought a new house this year as well so ive been mass busy and this bike has done its best to keep me out of trouble,
i bought it with race plastics on it, fine what ever got it for a grand ok ok good price aparanelty it started it what ever the guy delievered it and everything. it showed up in my drive way looking like this ...

so pretty clean BUT boom didnt start i was like hmmmm the guy assured me it was the battery so i said alright ill knock 100 bucks off it for a new bat from the looks of it was in good shape so i was like kk
so this was right around the time i was stilling rocking the 80 super sport which some of u may or may not remeber lol i got it finished up and was waking the nebhiours up and what not. ima take this time to plug my baby ;)

so naturally i was like cool ima leave it and get in a track day, WELL turns out they close down the track on me and i a buddy liked my cb so much i decided to sell it to some one who will love it and not thash it every day lol and i decided to take the r1 back to street bike as i have ALWAYS wanted a sport bike and bam i had one, the price didnt hurt either ;)
so i did what any of us would do lol .......

re did the fork seals lol next time ill just pay that cost bahahahaha

re doing the tank did it need it no but god knows i didnt wanna ride a blue bike ?!?!?!?!?

forks off the bike, hey baby thats a nice pair of stems !!!

and this was a moment i would rather not think about lol happen in the cylinder number 4 the worst possible access lol bahaha

and ofcouse it happens on a brand new plug ?!?!?!?! this is what i needed to get it out lol

so mainly all said and down i pulled the carbs out gave them a minor once over didnt do a full brake down but a clean none the less and let me tell ya when i pulled the tank off this beast i couldbt beleive my eyes i was like,,,,, yeah kyle your in over your head ! but lets face it clymer u can do anything, they should make one for life no ? clymer women NOTE before dating women make sure all your mentaly issures are in check becasue u will be taking upon a whole new set of problems  ahahahah

and way hooked up some trick parts

now i would suggest if u ever need fairins to buy a shit set of oem and refinish them your self becasue i got this

they fit and the finish is really nice but theres some things u notice and theres also some things u have to be ready to deal with lol

so i got the bike put tougther before i moved

oh yeah these heads lights my god as if it wasnt had to find them but the guy i bought them off charged me like 225 then shiped them ups and they charged me 70 brokrage fee ?!?!?!? never again lol

any way the bike is running and in the new garage somre more photos it are on my phone theres still lots more to do but im thinking it will be on the road before next weekend, the list of parts i have done to it are

HID LIGHTING SYSTEMS
FLUSH MOUNT SIGNALS
INTERGATED UNDERTAIL pics to come looks slick
CARB DYNO JETS AND ATTACK PERFORMANCE AIR FILTER WITH BIGGER BORE INLETS
NEW REAR SETS
LEAVERS ADJUSTABLE AND COLLAPSEABLE

I liked it better without the faring. The faring makes it look like one of the bad guy's from "The Power Rangers".
