That is a nice looking machine!!!  Very cool!!!   I just got a 76 super sport also. I love the cafe look and want to go the route as well, but my bike has the 5 spoke stamped aluminum wheels(compstars???) did you swap out to spoke wheels or was it already like that?   I ask because the buddy that gave me this bike has a bunch of spoke wheels i can use,but i dont know if the brake system will bolt on or not?

Re: 76 CB750F Super Sport Cafe Project

Those are the wheels that it had on it when I got it.  This bike came to me from a trade deal that my father made.  When we picked it up it was just like you can see it in the pic's above (yellow).  I had the bike for about two years and didn't do anything with it because I didn't have a title.  Cool thing is that I found the registration from 1991 under the seat and was able to contact the original owner!  He was really surprised to hear about his bike.  He agreed to meet me at the DMV where he lives to see if it was still in his name and it was!  Lucky he let me keep the bike and is eager for a ride on her again once its road ready.  He told me stories of the bike for about 2 hours DMV!! of course, but never mentioned changing the wheels.  He did however put on a wind jammer  which was missing when I got it along with the headlight and some other things.  He said if he wouldn't have gotten in a fight with his wife about cleaning out the garage the day someone made him an offer on it, he probably would still have it  today.   Lucky Me!!

I like the bars, I'm 5' 10" and they feel great, but I like leaning forward a little.  When I ride my shadow the wind feels like it's goin to push me off the back.  But on the CB the wind doesn't it holds me up a little, I like it.  I am going to put a light on the license plate and see if I can get away with it.

Just to clear it up, the 75/76 F bikes came with spokes. 77/78 had the comstars.
I think the 76 A had comstars too.
