Gearing up to go thru a 1982 CB 750 k.
I've had a 79 SS for years, and know it pretty good
Just wondering if anyone knows of any big differences between the 2.

The only difference I know of is the rear fender is different on the 79 from the 80-82.

If your bike does have it, I would suggest removing it and installing a different petcock. However, I did recently rebuild a set of carbs off a 1980 CB750 that still had it and it worked perfectly. A few things I have learned about these carbs over the years is to pull out the recessed/pressed in slow jets and drill them out to 0.45mm and to replace the throttle shaft seals. You can get the seals from Jack at Oldschoolcarbs.com

Was hopeing you'd chime in.
Thought I rememberd seeing something about the petcock on certain models opening on vacuum.
One of the first things I'll check.

Haven't even washed it yet.

Did notice a hose connecting the 2 fork tubes together. Kinda neat really.

Maybe it's just me, but it sure seems to be bigger overall from my 79.

Ya, probably more truth to that than I like to think.

But, after going back thru some old files,
And the ones I just took,
I found these

It's the tank, bigger.  The bars for sure.
Wider.

The hump in the seat.  All 3 add up.

One of them is a "K" model and the other is an "F" model. Just cosmetic differences. Probably does make it seem bigger though.
