'81 cb750k frame downtube split- normal??

Hi all, just wanted to ask because it seems really weird, on the cb I'm working on the down tube by #4 cylinder is split in between the engine mount bracket. It's bolted on both sides and looks stock, but seems weird and I wasn't sure. Here's a pic:

There is another one down by the foot peg, to make that section of the frame removable.

Ohhh ok sick, I think I might end up pulling the engine out to paint it
