Your caliper needs to be rebuilt/replaced, and while your at it replace the pads, and check the rotor for warpage or grooving. Being that the bike is 30 years old, I would also check the rear brakes. Make sure all the brake lines are in good shape as well, and replace the brake fluid with fresh.
Have fun on your new toy and share some pics when you can!

Before jumping into a caliper rebuild, lets find out if that is the problem. When the break is sticking, loosen the bleeder. If the wheel frees up it is the master cylinder. If the wheel stays stuck then it is the caliper. If it is the master cylinder, sometimes it is one of the small holes in the bottom of the reservoir plugged, and easy to fix.

Yup find out which end the issue is on. However, these calipers, well all of them, collect moisture from the DOT3 fluid and crud builds up around the piston seal. You may just want to clean both the master and caliper. I would also check the hose for ANY cracks. It could be the original. If it is, get a new one. I prefer the braided lines. Cost a bit more but braking is much improved.
