I agree with the difference on the chains. It's massive! A 630 is crazy huge,No way I would run one of those monsters. The rollers look like .45 slugs!

Man, I just put my 530 chain on earlier today, or else I would have grabbed a picture of 'em side-by-side! I'll try to get one anyways tomorrow, so you can see the size difference first-hand.

There's definitely a weight difference, THAT'S for sure.
Turbos, Hondas, 4-bangers, what could go wrong?

If you run pods or stacks try to get 1976 slide needles. That way you do not have to use shims.
Just move the clip down one notch.

Glides are for station wagons. Mo' gears is mo' faster

Metal technology is better than in 1969. No need to run a 630 when you can buy a 530 rated at 9,600 lb+. I have seen them rated all the way up to 11,000lb. If it'll hold a 'Busa it'll old a CB for sure.

Nice work.

Impressed with your dilligence and vision.

About your engine.I've been looking for a quality engine rebuilding shop. Can't tell you how many times I have been burnt by pseudo mechanics that do terrible work, only aftet the job is done I did realize I ended up in Fred Flinstone;s Shop

Cycle exchange, do they work on all engines ? or brand/model specific?

Your engine does not only sound good,it looks as great.

Engine work can be expensive,it is an investment and big expense. I am willing to make the sacrifice, problem is the sacrifice could become an embarrassing nightmare if you end up at Fred Flinstone's Shop which unfortunately has many branches all over the country under different aliases !

    Very nice bike indeed !

Cycle Exchange rebuilds lots of CB750 engines.

It is unique in the Japanese motorcycle engine world.

Look for people that specialize in the type of engine you have.
Many motorcycle shops now are worthless. Low paid, untrained mechanics.
It is still not considered as a "real" job by many dealership owners.

Most motorcycle mechanics get fed up and go work on cars and
make 3 times the money WITH BENEFITS.

As difficult as it may seem, I tore down the Cafe CB750 and used all the parts except the frame to build the Digger bike with a different frame.

I could not afford to build another complete bike.

I did have to sell some parts to buy parts that would fit the Digger build.

I still have the gold powder coated CB750 frame.
I will be selling that frame after I complete the Digger build.
