Battery Corrosion

The other day while cleaning my carbs, I noticed a lot of corrosion and gunk from my battery. What is the best way to remove this stuff from the frame without doing more damage to the frame or paint.

Best way I know of removing corrosion frm batery terminals is boiling water mixed witha solution of Bicarbonate of Soda. Pour the the boiling hot mixture over the terminals then rinse again with hot water a couple of times. Wipe dry and its as good as gold. Obviously there is a bad earth for battery terminals to corode so check the ert lead for a bad connection. Even under the the battery cable where it earths to the frame, there could be some rust or a loose connection. Hasnt ever happened on my bikes but on my various cars have had problems due to faulty earth cables to the chassis
