Will this fit an a '76F? Is it a 19" wheel my tire will fit on to Does it hold a drum brake?

Sorry for not doing my own research, but i figured someone would probably know right off.

I'd love to get a drum brake on the front of my /76F

Well, since my rear drum is stronger than my front disc...That stainless steel disc is just so dang slippery. So will it fit?

Plus, you gotta admit, that would just look sweet!

i think it will work..i have a 69 sl 350 front drum wheel and i measured the axles and spacers and theyre the same size...i posted the same question on the DO THE TON site and they didnt have anything good to say about it...saying a drum brake wont stop a big ol 750..and the bikes they were on didnt stop very well either..i wonder how these guys ride..ive owned bikes with drums all around and they stop fine...

Thanks Pat. I haven't heard much talk about whether drums are good or bad on the front.  Its all they had for years. And most everyone will agree that the CB front disc is nothing fantastic. I mean, mine works just fine, but my rear drum would whip its butt. I am worried that the 350 wheel will have a real small brake.

i just got off work!!..im usually home by 3 and in bed by now..what the heck are you doing up so early??lol..anyhow,my last drum brake bike was a 69 sl 350..that thing weighed at leat 400 lbs..that thing stopped fine and the cb 750 is like 5 and change with everything on it..i dont think 90 lbs or so would make a huge difference...and i know the sl and cl used the same wheels..im guna bet the cb is he same drum wheel...

gotta get some sleep now..i gotta grill some steaks in about 8 hrs..

HAHA! I usually sleep from 2 -7. Today was a holiday so I slept in til 8

I weighed my bike when I got it all done and it was 480 lbs even. The funny part was it was exactly 240 on each wheel. Never woulda guessed that. I know drums have a ton more friction surface area than discs, but I guess everyone gets hepped on the the whole hydraulic part of it.I guess that would give you some extra leverage. I just saw an ad on craigslist where a guy is parting out an XS bobber he gave up on and this wheel was in the list. I've been wanting to do this for awhile, but as usual, have been too lazy to do any research on what'll fit.  Thanks for the info bud. I really do appreciate it.

Now to figure out what to use for a brake lever.....

Did a little research and it seems a Cb350 uses an 18'' wheel. Wonder if it'll lace up to my rim?

Scratch that. It's probably be cheaper to get a new rim than buy odd length spokes. New question: any insight as to speedo drives?

The ends of the speedometer cables are the same, so would not be a problem there. I don't think lacing on a 19" wheel would be any problem either. However I thought, you were DONE with the Water Buffalo?

Yeah,me too bud.And on that last post I meant get a new tire, not a new rim. I wonder where to look for the spokes to lace  that hub to my rim? I have no clue what length they would be.Is it possible the hubs/number of spokes are the same? That would just be too easy if it would just swap out and use my preexisting spokes!

EDIT: Nevermind.Stupid question

Do all Cb350's with the drum brake have the twin leading shoe design?

I think, so. You could try Bucannon spokes, for spokes. But I still think your nuts. I remember trying to stop my old CB 350 It was scarier then going in the basement in the middle of the night. You should put duel discs on it.
