Cap, Fuel Filler?

#21---------------------

When I was disassembling my bike, a side of this piece broke off. Is this part necessary and will it affect the bike or my riding at all if I do not have it?

Part # 21?   The small metal sleeve/collar that goes through the tank cushion?

It's a spacer to keep the bolt from crushing the rubber mount. A Honda dealer should be able to get you one, or you could cut a small piece of tube, like a metal brake line to make one.

Your tank is going to be loose, and vibrate against the frame, and maybe wear a hole in it.

you could make one out of a chunk of old tire rubber, fold up a hunk of innertube rubber, or VintageCB750 has them.
