Center Stand

katman
Is there anyway to retain my center stand on my 75 if I run a 4-1 pipe systems.
I know I will be losing the rubber guard that bolts to the stock system and keeps the stand
away from the chain when in the up position.
Thanks

It depends on which brand of system, you have. Some will allow, you to keep the center stand, and others won't. To keep the stand off the chain, just make a stay out of 3/4 X 3/16 flat steel. Make it about 6-8 inches long with a bend at one end, and a hole in the other. Just bolt it to the passenger foot peg, and it will keep the stand from hitting the chain.

My 81 750K came with a 4-1 and i have the center stand with the piece of flat steel that Tools mentions.  It works great.
